I am Ginny Lister, an elementary teacher for a small rural school in west central Illinois. I first attended Mizzou from 1975-1979, and I married my Mizzou sweetheart after graduating in 1979. We have four children. Our oldest daughter is a graduate of Mizzou, and we currently have two children in college (I think they are both on the 12 year plan). Our youngest is in the eighth grade this year, and she assures us that she knows more than the rest of us combined.
I currently teach 5th grade. I have been teaching for 23 years. I have taught 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th Language, 8th Social Studies, Jr. High Agriculture, and a 4th/5th split class. I much prefer 5th or 6th graders to all other ages.
I'm a Mizzou tiger at heart, and I love learning, so working on my master's degree at Mizzou is a natural fit. I really appreciate the online program that lets me take classes from my rural area.
