Service

In addition to my teaching and research responsibilities, I contribute to the public good through a variety of service activities.  Highlights of my service activities include providing leadership in the Agribusiness Economics and Management Section (AEM) of the Agricultural and Applied Economics Association (AAEA); organizing AEM track sessions for the AAEA annual meetings; serving in the Editorial Board of the International Food and Agribusiness Management Review (IFAMR); and frequently reviewing journal manuscripts and paper proposals for professional meetings.  Nationally, I have served as a member of the International Agribusiness Task Force, funded by a USDA Higher Education Challenge Grant; and in the expert panel of the project “Agricultural Cooperatives:  Economics and Structure in a New Era of Food, Fiber and Fuel” sponsored by The Council on Food, Agricultural and Resource Economics (C-FARE).  At the College level, I have served in the CAFNR Courses and Curricula Committee since 2009 and the Policy Committee since 2011.

I am a member of two regional research committees: WERA-72, Western Education and Research Activities Committee on Agribusiness; and NCERA-210, Regional Research Project Focusing on Cooperatives.
